GRAHAM YATES

Owner, piano teacher: Weekdays

Canadian pianist, teacher and composer Graham Yates has lived in Texas since 2014 where he owns Timbral Music Studios and is a busy collaborative pianist. Through producing concerts and performing, he loves to connect with audiences and students alike to create meaningful experiences through music of many kinds.

 

He teaches over 40 private students and is an examiner for the Royal Conservatory of Music. In 2020 he was nominated for the B. Iden Payne award for Outstanding Music Director. He is an award-winning composer and his compositions have been premiered by Austin Chamber Music Center, Inversion Ensemble and Operativo Houston.

DR. KEITH ALLEGRETTI

Piano teacher: Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday

Keith Allegretti is a composer, pianist, and educator with students across the Austin and Round Rock area. As a private piano instructor with over ten years of teaching experience and a doctorate in music from UT Austin, he guides students through lessons focusing on clean technique and musical expression. These lessons are available to all skill levels from beginning to advanced, with the additional possibility of performance evaluations and competitions. Whether you are a hobbyist or an aspiring professional musician, Keith provides foundational knowledge about musical style, theory, and and performance practice, tailored to your specific tastes and goals.

ALEKSANDR BAZHENOV

Piano teacher: Sunday

With a strong background in both classical and modern music, Aleksandr Bazhenov is a skilled musician, composer, and arranger. A graduate of a rigorous seven-year piano program in Russia, Aleksandr further refined his craft through an internship with a city-sponsored orchestra. Proficient in acoustic, electric, and classical guitar techniques, he also composes and records music in his home studio using Logic Pro X. In addition to his performing expertise, Aleksandr holds pedagogical qualifications that enable him to inspire new musicians and make music accessible to all.

TIFFANY CADENHEAD

Voice teacher: Wednesday, Saturday

Tiffany has been teaching vocalists for 15 years. She studied Vocal Performance at William Carey University in Mississippi, and successfully ran an independent studio in Memphis, TN for a decade before moving to Austin. She has experience in musical theater and opera, but also has worked with singer songwriters and multi-instrumentalists. She has additional training in Adolescent Voice, Trauma-informed teaching practices, has certifications in teaching from Total Vocal Freedom and Dr. Shannon Coats Vocal Instrument 101, and she is currently an Alexander Technique trainee who is passionate about whole body use and expression in singing.

JON PEPPIN

Early beginner piano; guitar/ukulele/bass: Thursday, Saturday

Jon Peppin is from Fort Worth, Texas, and has worked as an elementary school teacher as well as a music instructor. In addition to guitar, Jon also teaches bass guitar, ukulele, and piano. He attended the University of Southern California and has degrees in Accounting and Economics with a minor in Chinese Language and Culture. He loves incorporating games into lessons and is very excited to work with students of all ages and levels.

BEN TIBBETTS

Piano teacher: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Ben Tibbetts is a professional pianist and composer working in the Austin area. As a piano accompanist, Ben specializes in both collaborative performance and high-level improvisation. He worked at UMass Amherst as an accompanist from 2016-2020. Every semester he performed with students on dozens of recitals, classes, masterclasses, and private lessons. He also worked as a pianist at Orchard Covenant Church in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he wrote and performed original arrangements and accompanied weekly church services. As an active composer, arranger, and audio producer, Ben's work has been featured in films, video games, and broadcast radio performances.
